Dar Turath: A Unique Space for Women to Protect Cultural Heritage in Palestine

Our Dar al-Turath (House of Heritage) will be named Manjel Ma’qoud and be located in the heart of Ramallah in Occupied Palestine.  This special space will host a women-led, income-generating House of Heritage that brings together the work of 50 women artisans and promotes Palestinian cultural heritage through craft and food workshops.

Manjel Ma’qoud: House of Heritage will build on the accomplishments of and draw from the artisan network of Handmade Palestine, bringing women artisans into the public sphere where their creative work can be exhibited, sold, and taught to others, ensuring that the traditional arts are preserved and passed down to younger generations.
