What’s Coming This Holiday Season: Gifting With Intention

From our Ethical Christmas Gift Guide and Corporate Gifting ideas, to Advent markets and Burbara Day — here’s what we have planned for the holiday season.

The holiday season is just around the corner, and there’s plenty happening at Handmade Palestine.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be bringing together Palestinian-made gifts, artisan stories, community events and seasonal food, along with new ways to shop with intention. Here’s a look at what’s coming.

Gifting with Intention

We’ll be introducing our Gifting with Intention campaign soon.

Our collection brings together handmade gifts from Palestinian artisans, including olive wood, tatreez, ceramics, textiles, felted pieces, Palestinian food and more.

There are gifts for family and friends, handmade pieces for the home, presents for food lovers and options for those harder-to-buy-for people on your list.

Stay tuned!

Our Holiday Gift Guide

Later this month, our Ethical Holiday Gift Guide will launch, bringing together some of our favourite Palestinian-made gifts.

  • Olive wood sculptures and nativities from Bethlehem
  • Olive wood kitchenware
  • Tatreez scarves and pouches
  • Holiday table runners and coasters
  • Hand-felted animals and Christmas tree ornaments
  • Handcrafted ceramics and Phoenician glass
  • Palestinian food items
  • Gifts for children
  • Tote bags and gift bundles
  • And don’t forget our Adopt an Olive Tree programme and subscription boxes — two thoughtful gifts that are a little different, with a story that continues long after Christmas.

We’ll have ideas for everyone from the foodie and host to parents, children, colleagues, clients and the person who has everything.

And alongside the products, we’ll share more about where pieces come from, how they are made and why they matter.

Host An Advent Holiday Market

This year, we’re working with FOSNA on an Advent Holiday Market campaign, giving churches, schools, community organisations and other groups the opportunity to host their own market.

It’s a chance to bring people together, discover authentic, unique, and meaningful handcrafted Palestinian crafts, andshop with a story behind what you’re buying.

Holiday Markets & Events in the U.S.

We’ll also be taking our gifts out into the community throughout the holiday season at various craft markets and events. There’s something special about shopping for handmade pieces in person — seeing the details, feeling the materials and finding something you might not have discovered online.

We’ll share more dates and locations as they are confirmed, so keep an eye on our blog and email newsletter.

Corporate Gifting for Businesses & Organisations

Buying gifts for a team, clients, volunteers or a wider community?

We will have specially created Gifting with Intention products and gift sets which will be made available for businesses, churches, schools, NGOs, universities and community organisations.

Stay tuned for more updates and product information.

Burbara Day — 17 December

This 17 December, we’ll be celebrating Burbara Day and bringing back our delicious Burbara pudding. Warm, spiced and made for sharing, Burbara is part of the seasonal traditions we love sharing with our community.

As December approaches, we’ll be talking more about the tradition behind it — and, of course, the food itself.

Why All Of This Matters!

Throughout the campaign, we’ll be sharing more about the people and traditions behind these incredible Palestinian crafts, the materials our artisans work with, and the skills that continue to be passed down generation after generation.

What we buy is a choice. Let's make the right choice.

  • Choose handcrafted over mass-produced.
  • Choose the maker over the brand.
  • Choose something made with care, made to last, and made by human hands.

Give thoughtfully. And gift with intention this Holiday season.
