Bethlehem Christian Olive Wood Figures

From the prunings of ancient olive trees, artisans in Bethlehem use hand-carving techniques which they carry on from the fathers and grandfathers, and then teach it to their kids so the tradition goes on.


In and around Bethlehem there are small workshops, each specializing in making a few kinds of Christian sculptures. We buy these figurines from our partner artisans there and make sure they are paid fair wages for the work.
