At Handmade Palestine, we’ve always believed that every purchase is a choice — a choice to support artisans, to uplift communities, and to preserve Palestinian heritage. We’re a tiny social enterprise sustaining dozens of livelihoods across Palestine. And while we rely heavily on this season to keep our 30 artisan groups and cooperatives working, we also refuse to compromise our values.

This year, as Palestinian families face unimaginable violence and destruction, we cannot participate in Black Friday as usual. Standing silent while American colonial power continues to support the genocide in Palestine is not an option for us. So tomorrow, we will go black for Black Friday in protest.

We know this decision hurts us. It hurts our artisans. But we also know that all of us — in Palestine and around the world — must do what we can to resist, to speak up, and to push for change.
