Traditional Burbara Recipe

Ingredients

• 1 cup whole wheat

• 4 cups water

• 1 cinnamon stick

• 1 tsp anise

• 1 tsp fennel

• ½ cup sugar

• 1–2 tbsp orange blossom water

• Toppings: nuts, raisins, pomegranate, Nabulsi licorice candies

How to Make It

1. Soak the wheat overnight.

2. Cook in fresh water until tender (45–60 minutes).

3. Add sugar, spices, and orange blossom water; simmer to thicken.

4. Serve warm and top generously.
