Children inherit the world they are given. What surrounds them in their earliest years shapes what feels natural, beautiful and true for the rest of their lives. This collection is built on that belief — that Palestinian craft belongs in a nursery, in a child's hands, in the first objects a baby touches.
Our baby pieces come primarily from Little Olea, a Palestinian social enterprise producing handmade olive wood teethers, rattles and toys from sustainably pruned olive branches. Olive wood is naturally antibacterial, smooth-grained and safe for small mouths. It is also a piece of Palestine in the most literal sense — the tree that defines the landscape, the harvest, the economy and the identity of Palestinian life, held by a child who may be thousands of miles from the land itself.
We also carry handmade wool baby booties and sets, hand felted in Palestine from ballad wool, soft enough for newborn skin and durable enough for everything that comes after. These are the kinds of heirloom keepsakes that get kept long after they are outgrown — passed on, displayed, carried.
For older children we carry Arabic language books, games, and educational materials that bring Palestinian stories, alphabet and culture into the hands of children in the diaspora and beyond. We believe Palestinian children — wherever they are — deserve to see their culture reflected in what they learn and play with. And we believe children everywhere benefit from knowing that the world is wider, more varied and more beautiful than any single story can hold.
