Enjoy cooking dinner even more in your ethical apron with traditional Palestinian recipes, including maklouba design, waraq dawali, qalayet bandoura, and mulukhiya.

The traditional Palestinian dishes on these aprons by Qastina Designs from Dheisha Camp, Bethlehem, are from the designer's mama's kitchen. The fabric is locally made, sewn in Hebron and printed in Dheisha Refugee Camp.

Maklouba is Palestine's favorite dish as it says on the apron. You first put the veggies; usually potatoes, eggplant or cauliflower, carrots and onions and meat or chicken - optional - at the bottom of the pan then on top you put the rice. When it's done cooking you flip the pan. Hence upside down which means Maklouba in Arabic.

The other designs have the recipes of each dish also written in Arabic.

Dimensions: 70 x 50 cm | 27.5 x 19.5 in
