About the Author: Born and raised in Ramallah-Palestine, Wafa Shami moved to the U.S for college. She was inspired to write this children’s story after her son Faris was born. In addition to raising a kid, she has a food blog “Palestine in a Dish” to share food recipes she learned from her mom back in Ramallah.
