Tatreez is a traditional Palestinian embroidery and artform that originates from Palestine’s very own villages where hours are spent sewing and bringing together colorful pieces. It is an important symbol for Palestinian cultural heritance as mothers pass on personal collections of tatreez down to their daughters.
This postcard is made by the Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, located in Gaza City, Palestine. This amazing project serves as income generation for the hearing impaired through the production of high quality embroidery, ceramics and wood work. Located in Gaza, the Atfaluna Society offers schooling, speech therapy, excellent crafts and more.
